Byron celebrated his eighteenth birthday in early winter. 

He spent most of his days when he wasn’t in school with his littlest sisters playing outside. Seeing him spend time with them seemed to make many of the local girls take an interest in him.

Out of all of these girls he really only seemed interested in one- Meera Malhotra. She however, was not. She loved his sisters but seemed indifferent to Byron’s feeble attempts at flirting.
